Regular departmental employees in the department of
Posts have been granted revised bonus Rs. 7,000/- for the year 2014-15 vide
Letter No. 26-01/2015 PAP dated 02-09-2016 and the arrears have also been drawn
in favour of the regular employees.
The case of 2.63 lakhs GDS employees regarding
applicability of revised ceiling limit @Rs. 7,000/- is yet to be finalized by
the department.
The IX All India Conference of All India Gramin Dak
Sevaks Union (AIGDSU) held at Siddagangamatt, Ketasandra, Tumukur district from
17-09-2016 to 19-09-2016 unanimously resolved the following resolution.
'If the department of posts does not grant enhanced
arrear bonus Rs. 7,000/- for the year 2014-2015 to the GDS with in a week, this
union will initiate the following three stage trade union action'.
1) Dharna at Divisional Head Quarters on 05-10-2016
Wednesday
2) Dharna at Dak Bhavan, New Delhi on 14-10-2016 Friday
3) Two days country wide strike from 25-10-2016 to 26-10-2016
4) Further course of action will be decided there
after.
