CHQ appeal all GDS that it is right time
to show our unity and strength by making 16-08-2017 indefinite strike cent per
cent success. CHQ also appeal all GDS not only for participation but also for
organization and mobalization.
ANOTHER INDEFINITE STRIKE IS INEVITABLE
You are
all aware that the Chairman of the GDS Committee recommended to the Department
very positive and very good recommendations due to continuous efforts of AIGDSU
and also feedback of AIGDSU on various issues of GDS. We welcome the positive
recommendations of the GDS Committee and requested the department of posts on
behalf of 2.6 lakh GDS employees for an early implementation. AIGDSU suggested
some important modifications regarding some negative recommendations.
The
Department of posts has not taken any necessary steps to expedite the procedure
for an early implementation. To put pressure on the Department of posts as well
as the Govt. of India an historical Dharna was conducted with ten thousand GDS
employees at Jantar Mantar New Delhi and decided to go on indefinite strike
from 25-04-2017
The
Department came down and invited our leaders for negotiations. As a result a
meeting was held on 24.04.2017 between higher officers of the Dept. of posts
and AIGDSU leaders. The Department of posts informed written that the GDS
Committee recommendations including modifications suggested by AIGDSU is under
active consideration and shall be implemented as early as possible. Then the
indefinite strike is deferred after two months time also there is no remarkable
developments for implementation of GDS Committee report. We are compelled to go
on serious trade union action gain. An ultimatum is given to the Department
regarding our trade union action. After our ultimatum only MOC (IC) intervened
and ordered the higher officers to work speedily and submit him for approval.
But all the GDS are under frustration due to inordinate delay in implementing
the GDS Committee report.
Keeping in view all the points AIGDSU
conducted emergency CWC (informal) in New Delhi on 08-07-2017 and decided to go
on indefinite strike from 16-08-2017.

Asiwal Jee Ex Circle Secretary P-3 and AIPEDEU He was 84 year. Comrade Asiwal jee attended AIGDSU MP Circle CWC meeting on 16-07-2017 at Bhopal, he had been ill for a really long time. He was a well wisher of AIGDSU and GDS. He was a good Hindi poet, senior and a great leader. AIGDSU Conveys our Condolences to his family.
