Sub:- Implementation of the recommendations of
Kamalesh Chandra Committee on
GDS
issues-Indefinite strike by on members of this union from 16th
August 2017.
The members of this union are agitated over the inordinate
delay in implementation of the recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee.
The said Kamalesh Chandra Committee submitted its report on 24-11-2016 and the
long period of almost nine months since, then and the recommendations not yet
implemented. Hence the patience of the employees has exhausted and hence the
call for the strike.
The Gramin Dak Sevaks who are rendering their valuable
services to the rural India exploited even after 70 years independence. They
are not getting natural justice. Kamalesh Chandra Committee has taken a small
step towards some justice to long exploited GDS employees.
This union is humbly requesting the Hon’ble Prime
Minister’s intervention for an early implementation of Kamalesh Chandra
Committee without curtailment and altered the recommendations especially with
regard to Gratuity, some allowances, financial up gradations and group
insurance.
We sincerely hope that the Hon’ble Prime Minister will
kindly appreciate our pains and position and take corrective steps in time.
