Today Meeting Detailed Update

 

 

Bonus & Other Issues Update.

 Today, a meeting was held with the Higher Officers regarding the bonus issue. Shri S.S. Mahadevaiah, General Secretary, AIGDSU, along with Com. Rajesh Sarangi, General Secretary of AIPU Postman and MTS Union, and Com. Subash Yadav, Circle Secretary, Delhi Circle, raised concerns on the matter. The Higher Officers informed us that the issue is under active consideration, and the Ministry of Finance is expected to release the bonus either today or tomorrow, as per the assurance given.

Following this, we met with the Delhi Chief Postmaster General in his chamber, along with the PMG and Director of Postal Services, to discuss urgent issues related to GDS online recruitment, the GDS special drive, and matters concerning Delhi Circle Postmen. We highlighted cases where GDS candidates with higher merit were not included in the final selection list, potentially due to their applications not being forwarded to regional offices. We also addressed the need for early appointment orders for medical and other candidates. The Chief Postmaster General suggested that surplus candidates should reapply through the proper channel to the Delhi Circle head.

Later in the evening, a request transfer order for GDS employees was issued, specifying that current GDS employees can request a transfer after completing one year of service. Newly appointed GDS employees (2024 onwards) will be eligible for request transfers after completing two years of service.
