UNITY ACHIEVED, NFPE DECIDED TO JOIN INDEFINITE STRIKE OF 17.12.2008 Dear Comrades, NFPE secretariat which met today the 9.12.2008 has decided to call upon all postal fraternity to join INDEFINITE STRIKE of 17.12.2008. By this solidarity action of NFPE we shall march with total unity and regain our past glories. We sincerely thank the NFPE leadership and all the leaders for this timely decision. TIME AT OUR DISPOSAL IS VERY SHORT BUT WE ARE CONFIDENT THAT THE LEADERSHIP AT ALL LEVELS ARE CAPABLE TO HANDLE THE SITUATION AND MAKE THE STRIKE A GRAND SUCCESS. This is a decisive battle against grave injustice to the 3 lakh GDS. It is a struggle against exploitation of labour and struggle against ill treatment. It is also a struggle to establish truth and say good bye to bureaucratic excesses.. With this unity we should make the concerned realise and discover that GDS are postal employees under union government and deserve all treatment due to Central staff. Let us remember the golden words of Babu Tarapada; ORGANISE IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO CONVINCE THE GOVERNMENT THAT YOU WILL NO LONGER TOLERATE NONSENSE.
