To

The Secretary,
Department of Posts,
Dak Bhavan,
New Delhi-110001

Subject:- Strike notice of this union on three point Charter of demands.
Ref:-         Your office Letter No. 08/01/2015-SR dated 19.02.2015

Respected Sir,
The following facts are pertenant may be taken into account.
(i)      That we are demanding nothing new. They have already signed an agreement with us on 21th February, 2014 and we simply demand implementation of the agreement. You are requested to kindly prevail upon the postal administration to honour its commitment.
(ii)    That they are insisting on a committee headed by a retired departmental officer. This shows that they are already convinced that the departmental officer will submit recommendations of their choice as the Natarajamurti committee has done. The Natarajamuati committee has done a great injustice to the GDS employees even against the judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court by terming our “appointment” as “engagement”.
(iii)   We expect justice from a judge or a retired judge of the high court or Supreme Court, there can be no justification for them to be afraid of justice. Their refusal to honuor their commitment appointing a committee under a judge prime facie show some hidden agenda behind the appointment of a committee under a retired officer.
(iv)   That this is initial stage and the disinclination of the postal administration to even appoint a committee under a retired judge as agreed upon 21st February, 2014 is beyond conception.
(v)     The postal administration cannot have a convincing justification for negating a judge who generally head all committees doing social justice to both parties.
(vi)   The inclusion of our case in terms of reference of VII CPC has already been rejected. The postal administration argued that they have made a reference again for inclusion on our case in the terms of reference of VII CPC. The Postal administration is not ready to give concrete assurance for inclusion of our case in terms of reference of VII CPC.
You are requested to kindly consider these point and prevail upon the postal administration to appoint a committee headed by a retired judge of the high court or the supreme court as they wish for justice to both the department and the GDS employees, where both sides have the liberty of placing their points for impartial justice.

          With regards

 Yours faithfully,
