Centre to start Post Bank with core banking solutions

Apr 2 The central government has planned to start a post bank with core banking solutions in the country. As part of the bank, 1000 ATMs would be installed in various post offices across the country. This was informed by the Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology K Kruparani, in a press conference at Hyderabad yesterday. She said all the 1.55 lakh post offices in the country would be computerised and modernised at a cost of 4,700 crore rupees to serve as the 'rural ICT solution'.
