No.GDS/CHQ/1/5/2015 Dated 17-1-2015
To
All
Circles/Divisional/ Branch Secretaries of All India Gramin Dak Sevaks Union All
India Office Bearers….
Dear Comrades,
GET
READY FOR ANOTHER INDEFINITE STRIKE FROM 10-03-2015
You
are all aware that the Govt.of India vehemently denied the AIGDSU February 2014
indefinite strike demand i.e. The inclusion of GDS wage structure and service
conditions in the purview of 7th CPC and advised the Dept. of Posts to appoint
one man committee to examine the wage structure and service conditions of GDS.
The Dept. of Posts intentionally violated the written agreement made between
this union and member (P) and have initiated the process to appoint officers
committee like Nataraja Murthy Committee. AIGDSU strongly objected the decision
of the Department and wants to build united struggle with Sister GDS Unions
against the decision of the Department and invited all the GDS unions to have a
dailogue on 06-01-2015 at Vijayawada unfortunately there is no positive
response from them.
Hence,
as a recognised union, we are compelled to observe serious trade union action
for judiciary committee and Stop corporatization of
postal department based on the report of Task Force committee. After having discussion with our
leaders and well wishers, it is decided to go on an indefinite strike from
10-03-2015.
AIGDSU
always kept its doors open for the sister GDS unions to join in the main stream
of GDS movement. He hope and believe that united struggles yields good results.
All our CHQ Office Bearers, Circle Secretaries, Divisional and Branch
Secretaries and well wishers are requested to make the following four phased
agitational programmes success.
1) Send Memorandum to Prime Minister
by Regd.Post by all GDS in the month of January 2015.
2) Observe one day Dharna on 10-02-2015 at
Divisional Offices.
3) Observe one day Dharna on 24-02-2015 at
Circle Offices.
4) Candle Rally on 09-03-2015 evening at
Divisional Head quarters.
5) Indefinite strike from 10-03-2015 at 6-00
A.M.
NOTE
i) All
Divisional and Branch Secretaries are requested to meet your local M.P and
requests them to forwarded the Memorandum to Hon'ble Prime Minister between
10th January and 25th January. ii) Contact the intellectual in your area and request them to write about the GDS employees to communications & IT Minister.
APPEAL
Only few Divisional and branch secretaries are remitted quota to CHQ.
All are requested to remit quota to CHQ immediately to meet the expenses of
future struggles.

Letter to Hon'ble Minister for Finance and Information & Broadcasting, & Minister for Communication & IT., By Com.Gurudas Das Gupta, Ex. M.P. & General Secretary, AITUC
Dated 26.12.2014
Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad,
Minister for Communication & IT.,
Govt. of India,
Sanchar Bhawan,
New Delhi.
Dear Shri Ravi Shankarji,
I am
enclosing a copy of the agreement signed between Deptt. of Posts and All India
Gramin Dak Sevaks Union, dated 21.2.2014 to the effect that Govt. will appoint
a one man committee under retired judge of the Supreme Court/High Court for
revision of the wage structure and other service conditions of Gramin Dak
Sevaks of the Postal Deptt. The agreement is nearly a year old but till date
one man committee headed by a judge has not been appointed. I am told NDA govt.
is not in favour of appointing a one man committee headed by a judge. I am sure
you will agree that this is breach of agreement and a highly regrettable
decision. After all agreement is based on a Govt. decision. Even if there is
change of Govt., the successor govt. should honour the decision taken by
earlier Govt.
I am seeking your
intervention so that this bad & dangerous precedent is not created. I shall
be grateful if you kindly intervene in this matter and ensure agreement is
honoured.
With
regards,
Yours sincerely,
(Gurudas Das Gupta)
General Secretary
