                   This is with reference to your D.O. Letter No. 10-9/2013-SR dated 01.8.2013 regarding our proposed programme of relay hunger strike from 05.08.2013. We are thankful for recognition of the services rendered by the GDS employees to the public at large and in furtherance of departmental projects and initiatives. We would like to assure you that we, the GDS employees, as ever before, shall put in all our might in successful implementation of the policies of the department.

We wish to assure you, madam, that it is never our intention to create disturbances in services, except when we feel discriminated and subjected to apathetic appreciation of our genuine problems and demands.

We have carefully gone through the positive assurances given by you and we offer positive response to the assurances and, hereby, decide to defer our programme of relay fast to begin from 05.08.2013. We are hoping for fruitful results.

This also disposes off letter No. 08/16-2013/SR dated 23.07.2013 on the same subject from the Director (SR).
